BRAND FORMULA Technical Team

Our technical team operates under the supervision of Steve Moore, Director, Product Innovation. Steve is a veteran of global new product development who has held key positions at major ingredient and branded manufacturers. His technical expertise is sought by international chains, food and ingredient manufacturers and commodity boards. Collectively, the team has extensive protein experience drawing on animal science and meat science training, both academically and professionally.

Our scientists have overseen quality assurance, facility inspection, production, and R &D before joining Brand Formula. Recent work completed follows industry trends including clean label reformulation, sodium reduction reformulation, gluten-free, organic formulas and development, formulation and processing cost reduction and sourcing of high-quality, preservative-free ingredients.

Brand Formula’s memberships in the Institute of Food Technologists, American Meat Science Association, American Association of Meat Processors and Refrigerated and Frozen Foods Association provide valuable relationships and resources that support our work.

Our marketing team operates under the leadership of Alicia Bellar. Alicia knows branding from every angle, drawing from a long career in advertising, where brand communication and brand perception strategies helped drive demand and build consumer or customer loyalty for clients that ranged from restaurant chains to retailers, consumer packaged goods to commodity boards. Brand Formula’s marketing focus is on brand strategy and creation--positioning, naming, brand identity, competitive analysis. We find relevant and meaningful consumer/customer insights that inform product development decisions. Our due diligence encompasses comprehensive analysis and strategic planning for established, emerging or developing products.

Alicia oversees creative, culinary and communications specialists to support new product launches and brand strategies.
